Shiny-domed R&B singer Ne-Yo has done the seemingly impossible actually defeated R. Kelly in a court of law! As you may recall, Ne-Yo sued Kelly's promotion team, Rowe Entertainment, after he was booted from his opening slot on last year's Double Up tour just two shows in. At the time, the company's Leonard Rowe claimed that Ne-Yo's people didn't have their shit together; there was no "fully executed contract," or something, so to avoid potential trouble down the road, Ne-Yo had to go. Not the greatest call Leonard's ever made, apparently, because Ne-Yo's claim that he was really dropped for "outshining" Kellz (we know, we know come on, dude) has, astonishingly, held up in court. An L.A. judge has awarded him $700,320 not bad, considering Ne-Yo was originally supposed to get $785,000 for playing all 25 dates of the tour.

Bjork And Sigor Ros To Play Live Concert Webcast On Saturday

Bjork and Sigor Ros will take part in a free concert this weekend that will be broadcast live on the internet.

The concert, which begins at 8 p.m. BST/London time, will take place in a large park near the centre of Reykjavik.

Its hoped that the event will help raise awareness of the impact of the growing aluminium smelting activity on Iceland’s natural landscape.

Speaking about the event, Bjork said: “Too often battles being fought for nature turn into something negative and into mudslinging.

"We will not go that way, we are not saying that this and that is forbidden, we are rather asking ‘what about all these other possibilities?’

“The 21st century is not going to be another oil century but rather a century where we need to recycle, think green and design both power plants and our surroundings in harmony with nature.”

The concert will stream live on the National Geographic.

Steven Spielberg - Spielberg Dishes Out Sex Advice To Labeouf

Director STEVEN SPIELBERG has given his INDIANA JONES + THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL star SHIA LaBEOUF some saucy advice on how to handle women - sleep with as many as possible.

LaBeouf, who stars as action man Jones' sidekick in the upcoming sequel, admits he's in no hurry to settle down.

And Spielberg's wise words made him realise that, at 21, he's doing the right thing.

During a recent TV interview, Speilberg turned to the 21 year old and said, "Son, as they said in (1967 film) The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman: 'Sow some wild oats.'"

Spielberg added of the barely-legal star, "He's got a long time to go. This is a good time for him. I don't know how he has time for any of this love stuff because he's on sets. From set to set to set."

LaBeouf was quick to insist, "I fit it in, Steven. I fit it in."

Eminem Prank-Calls LL Cool J During Satellite Radio Show

Eminem to Slim Shady to "Jason from Miami"? Marshal Mathers popped up Tuesday night on his Sirius Satellite Radio station, Shade 45, to pull a prank on LL Cool J. L was a guest on Tony Touch's "Toca Tuesday" show when fans started to phone in.

One caller was "Jason from Miami," who challenged LL to a round of "Name That Tune," in which Jason would recite the Queens legend's lyrics and L would have to guess which one of his songs was being rapped.

"Hold your nose, dead bodies are around/ I leave scratch marks under the tears of a clown," Eminem rapped in character. Cool J immediately recognized his song "Eat 'Em Up L Chill."

More lyrics came: "The president woke and he called the pope/ The pope climbed to heaven on a golden rope/ PS. the Lord raised Michelangelo from the dead/ So he can make a fresh painting of my head." Cool J was two for two answering "My Rhyme Ain't Done."

"You sound good saying them joints. Damn, B," LL laughed, still apparently not hip that he was talking to Em. "That sounds like you need to write some bars, homie."

Em finally started reciting his own rhymes from "Lose Yourself" and revealed himself. Cool J laughed. Slim Shady told LL he had been a longtime fan and remembered their only meeting, years ago in a Foot Locker.

"Listen, man, you got this relationship with Dre," Em said. "You're cool with 50, so when are we gonna hang out? I got cable at my house, and the game is on."

Tony Touch was able to sneak in a question to Em about what he's up to musically. Slim has been on hiatus since late 2006 and was hospitalized with pneumonia last December, fueling tabloid rumors that he had gained an unhealthy amount of weight.

"Everything is good," he responded. "I'm just in the studio now working on songs."

Cool J is working on new material as well. His next album, Exit 13, is slated for sometime this summer.

Hotline: Wilbur Theatre goes pop!

Move over Roxy. There’s a new concert destination in the Theatere District, though it’s been in the neighborhood for 94 years.
The Wilbur Theatre on Tremont Street will use its historic stage for large-scale concerts this summer. The first summer shows, announced Tuesday, include performances by space-rock band Spiritualized (July 30), UK songstress Duffy (Aug. 5) and Boy George (Aug. 13).
Recent Wilbur Theatre lessee and Comedy Connection owner Bill Blumenreich is letting Live Nation bring concerts to the theater.

Blumenreich recently signed a 20-year lease with the Wilbur. He is in the process of relocating his house of ha-has, currently located at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, to the Theater District.
Blumenreich could not be reached for comment Tuesday. In an e-mail, his spokeswoman, Collette Greenstein said, “Unfortunately, I cannot comment on anything at this time.” The Wilbur Theatre has a 1,200-person capacity and will presumably fill a void in the local concert scene while the new House of Blues on Lansdowne Street - set to open in 2009 - is under construction. The city has lacked a midsized venue since Avalon and Axis - the former occupants of the House of Blues space - were shuttered and the Roxy had its capacity downsized to about 700 by the city of Boston.
The Wilbur Theatre got a taste of rock ’n’ roll last October when it hosted the Ultrasonic Rock Opera, a theatrical tribute to the likes of Queen, David Bowie and The Who.
Devlin dances into JP
Jamaica Plainers beware: There’s a quasi-celeb hipster icon in your back yard. Chris Devlin, DJ and producer from the Baltimore booty rap outfit Spank Rock, is now living in the neighborhood. Starting Thursday, and on the first Thursday of every month, he’ll join Boston DJ Knife at the new Shake ’Em Down party at the Milky Way.
“I’m really glad to have Knife in the mix now,” Devlin said. “I just want to keep the party moving and see where things go.”
Knife sounded equally delighted.
“This allows me to branch out while still holding onto the things I value about DJing,” said Knife, who earned local props with his monthly Marinate and Fresh Produce hip-hop parties at the Milky Way and Good Life.
“After spinning the same kinds of music for eight years I was feeling pigeonholed into playing for the same crowd.”
Though Knife and Devlin have sporadically collaborated at the Milky Way since the latter moved to Boston eight months ago, Thursday marks the official Shake ’Em Down kick-off. It’s appropriate that they’re bringing DJs Bo Bliz and Emynd of Philadelphia’s notorious White T’s and White Belts party to celebrate.
